Manny ranks in 100 Most powerful Celebrity

The Filipino boxing sensation, Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao has made its mark on the 100 most powerful celebrity of the World on Forbes.com.  Another world recognition for the Sarangani Congressman and Pound for Pound fighter, Rep. Manny Pacquiao.

Toping the list is Ms. Oprah Winfrey, a very popular talk show host.  The ever trash talking Floyd "Money" Mayweather is on the number 31st spot.

Margarito vows to DEFEAT Manny Pacquiao

Antonio Margarito is very happy that Texas had given him a license to fight Manny Pacquiao on their bought this coming November 13.  The 32 year old Tijuana Tornado standing 5'1" has a height advantage over Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao.  He is very positive that he is going to win the fight for he is four inches taller and bigger than Manny Pacquiao, "I will beat Pacquiao" said Margarito.

What are your points of view on this fight? Pacquiao is now known as a Giant Killer from his outstanding performances against bigger boxers such as Oscar De la Hoya, Miguel Cotto and Joshua Clottey.  Can Pacquiao handle Antonio Margarito's punches? We'll see about that, now with out the plasters.  Can Antonio Margarito handle Manny Pacquiao's speed?  Many of boxers who have fought Manny Pacquiao said that it's his speed that Margarito should be concerned about.

Mark your calender for Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao's next fight on November 13 against Tijuana's, Antonio Margarito.  I am sure it'll be an exciting and explosive fight.  With both fighters style on the ring, it'll be fun to watch.

Floyd Mayweather Jr. punches stronger than Manny Pacquiao

I was busy reading articles and news about Manny Pacquiao.  Then I found an interesting video posted in Fanhouse.com.  It was about a boxer who had sparred with power punchers and great boxers like Sugar Shane Mosley, Antonio Margarito, Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Manny Pacquiao.  His name is Bryan Brooks.

In the video, you will see Bryan Brooks being interviewed by Elie Seckbach while he was in the gym training.  He was asked on who hits hardest from all the boxing greats he had sparred with during their training fights.  Bryan also tells his opinion with Manny Pacquiao's up coming fight with Antonio Margarito on November 13.

Bryan Brooks also said that Floyd Mayweather Jr is going to beat Manny Pacquiao because Floyd is bigger and a stronger puncher than Manny Pacquiao.

Can Manny Pacquiao beat Floyd Mayweather Jr. or can Floyd Mayweather Jr. win against the speed and power of Manny Pacquiao?  For me, I just want the fight to happen, so that all arguments on who is really the best Pound-for-pound fighter would end and their will only be one.

Margarito is still denied from having his license back

Earlier today, the California Athletic Commission turned down Antonio Margarito's revoke to having his license back.  He was stripped of from his license when he was found by Mosley's Trainer with an illegal hand wrapped back in January 2009.

Until now, Antonio Margarito still hasn't admitted that he had known about the illegal hand wrapped and blame the incident to his trainer Javier Capetillo.  If Margarito would have accepted or agreed that he had known about the wraps the Commission might still give him his license back.  I can't really tell if Margarito is telling the truth or not.  

Karen Chapelle the state Attorney genera asked a series of questions saying "Has he shown rumorse? Have you ever issued and apology to boxing? Has he admitted to any wrong doing? What has he done?" The case here is that Margarito never admitted his faults.  The State Commission was clearly not convinced by Margarito's reasoning.

Margarito on his defense said that "I don't know.  I'm not arguing with you.  I'm being honest with all of you.  That's why I broke my relationship with Capetillo.  It was hard to do, but that's what had to be done."

The Commission voted 5-1 against the Tijuana Tornado, Antonio Margarito.  One of the State Attorney's even accused Margarito for lying.  They where clearly convinced that Margarito had something to do with the issue yet continues to deny all the accusation.

Would this put his fight against Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao on November 13 in jeopardy?  Time will tell.  What ever is the result, its better to watch a Manny Pacquiao fight at the end of the year then a no fight at all.

George Foreman says that Pacquiao is the BEST fighter out there

You've read the title right, former two time heavyweight champion  and Hall of Fame Boxer 'Big' George Foreman thinks Manny Pacquiao is the best fighter out there at this time.  On an interview he had with Geoffrey Ciani, George Foreman speaks about what he thinks of boxing and boxers these days.  Foreman is pretty much disappointed on the Heavyweight division today saying that he doesn't like the Champions and the Stars on the division where he used to play.  Here are some of the Question by Geoffrey Ciani to George Foreman.

CIANI: George, I’m curious, do you currently still follow the heavyweight landscape today and if so, what do you think about the heavyweight division today and some of the top guys out there like the Klitschko brother?

FOREMAN: For the first time, and I hate to use the word, but disappointed I am. The heavyweight division is just about dissolved. There’s not much to offer and I’m hoping my son coming back, George III, will start provoking other athletes to say, ‘I can beat that guy, I can beat that guy’ and the United States might have some good boxers. I’m not happy at all with the heavyweight division. I don’t like the champions, I don’t like their styles, and I don’t even like the contenders who challenge them. Nothing is going on in the heavyweight division. All the life is in the lighter weight divisions. This Pacquiao is the star of the day. Pacquiao is the best fighter out there.

CIANI: Now in addition to Pacquiao, who are some of the other guys out there right now that you do enjoy watching in some of the lighter divisions?

FOREMAN: I like Mayweather as well, Floyd Mayweather, but that’s about the size of it. There are so many others who are equally as good out there but the cream of the crop is that Pacquiao. I just love him. He works out, he trains, and he doesn’t say a whole lot so after his fighting career is over he’ll be known for what he accomplished and not what he said.

CIANI: Now George, you mentioned Pacquiao and Mayweather there. The fight that every boxing fan wanted to see was a mega bout between Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather and now, unfortunately it doesn’t look as if we’re going to get that fight this year. I’m wondering, (A) do you think we’ll ever get that fight and (B) how do you see it playing out if that fight does get made?

FOREMAN: Well it’s one of those fights that I hope never happens because Pacquiao doesn’t need Mayweather in his life. It’ll be one of those life changing experiences for Pacquiao, especially. For instance, I didn’t have to fight Muhammad Ali. I really didn’t have to take that fight. I took the fight and it turned into more than just a boxing match. It became a political statement, one way and the other, and today we’re great friends but if I had to do it over again, because of all the other sprinkling on the pies, I never would have taken part in such a fight. I think Pacquiao had a nice name. Mayweather started to slander him, say things like he was taking drugs. When you start running into people like that, it’s best that you stay away from them. It’s not even necessary to even have them in your life. But if the fight does take place, I think that Pacquiao wins because he’s got the momentum, he has a real trainer, and he’s willing to take the fight. He’d probably beat Mayweather, probably. Not to say Mayweather isn’t a wonderful fighter. He is the best fighter I’ve ever seen in my life, but he can’t beat Pacquiao because there is something else going on in that fight business. Not the X’s and the O’s, but there’s something else.

Evander Holyfield: Mayweather needs to prove something

The former Heavyweight Champion Evander Holyfield gives more praises to Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao compared to Floyd Mayweather Jr.  Evander Holyfield has open up to the media and demanded that Floyd Mayweather Jr. has to prove in the fight what he has been bragging about his boxing skills and superiority.  Holyfield wants Mayweather to show his ability in the ring against Manny Pacquiao.  Holyfield also urged Mayweather to come clean and fight Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao who has been named as the greatest boxer of the year and decade.  

If Floyd Mayweather Jr. really thinks he is the best then why isn't he the greatest boxer of the decade?  Maybe because boxing fans know that Floyd Mayweather simply picks his fight.  A great boxer never picks fight.  Unlike Manny Pacquiao who has been fighting boxers who are still on their prime and proving all the critics wrong about his so called one dimensional skills.
