Earlier today, Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao and Tijuana Tornado Antonio Margarito had their press conference for the upcoming fight this November 13, at the Dallas Cowboys Stadium. A lot of people where there to witness both fighter. Boxing fans showed support to both boxers. Both boxers seemed to be excited on their upcoming fight. This is going to be a big war.
Why the fight would be a war? it is simple, for both fighter is known for their offense. They fight opponents with out worrying about their defense but they do it giving them off a lot of offense. Margarito is known to come forward to his opponent, and Pacquiao is known for his speed and his aggressiveness to hit his opponent. This will surely be interesting and exciting. I expect to witness a lot of exchanging blows. Though with Margarito gaining all the advantage, it'll still be war knowing Manny Pacquiao.
With Manny Pacquiao moving up to another division, their have been a lot of questions. Would Manny Pacquiao's speed remain? Can he handle punches from a super welterweight and can his punches have an impact on super welterweights? Can he cope up with a much taller and in fact the tallest of all his opponent in his boxing career? Despite all these questions, I'm pretty sure Manny Pacquiao's camp knows how to handle this type of situation. They have been their before, from De la Hoya, to Cotto then to Clottey. Those fight where dominated by Manny Pacquiao.
We also know that their have been different criticism surrounding this fight. Why wouldn't it be? Margarito is known for cheating and Manny Pacquiao deserves the best fight and that is with Floyd Mayweather Jr. But we all know who is avoiding who. That is why it didn't happen. Boxers are known to entertain fans, not disappoint them. Well, this fight is better than a NO FIGHT at all. Every one can say what they really want to say. You may hate or love the fight, its still going to happen anyway.
On this upcoming fight, Manny Pacquiao will take his best shot in super welterweight division. This is going to be critical in Manny's career knowing that Antonio Margarito is the largest opponent that Manny is going to face in the Ring. If Manny Pacquiao can win this fight, this is going to be his eighth world title belt. No other boxer had every accomplished this much recognition and to add things up, only Manny Pacquiao has ever won seven division titles.
I am pretty sure this fight will be exciting, regardless with the gap and advantages that Margarito has, I know Manny Pacquiao will train hard for this fight, for he knows how dangerous Margarito is with or without the hand wraps. Margarito will benefit so much with this fight. This is his chance to redeem himself from all the controversy. Perhaps this might be his biggest fight ever.
