Manny Pacquiao Day - San Diego, California


As Manny Pacquiao arrived in Los Angeles, he was applauded and cheered by a lot of his fans.  The pound-for-pound king proves to be very famous not just in his country, Philippines but also in the US.

Manny Pacquiao also received a hero's welcome at a charity basketball game in San Diego on Sunday.  Local official also showed support to the Filipino boxing icon making October 24 as "Manny Pacquiao Day" in San Diego and he also received the keys to the State of California.  Not many boxers receives this kind of acknowledgements.  Pacquiao known for his humbleness, thanked all his supporters.  “I would like to thank all my fans who came just to see me. I’m not going to play (basketball) tonight. I’m just gonna coach them,” said the Filipino Champion.

Pacquiao will continue his training in Los Angeles, at Freddie Roach's Wild Card gym in preparation for the November 13 (14 in Philippines) against "Tijuana Tornado" Antonio Margarito.
