Margarito training hard for November 13 fight

Robert Garcia trainer of the "Tijuana Tornado" Antonio Margarito said that his ward is training hard for the fight of his life against pound for pound king Manny Pacquiao.  In search for redemption, this fight would be a make or break situation for Antonio Margarito.

“I’ve never seen a fighter train this hard,” the Mexican trainer told The Manila Times by phone from Oxnard, California. “He’s pushing himself to the limit and we expect him to be in the best shape ever for his fight with Manny Pacquiao," Garcia added.

By next week, Margarito will prepare for 10 round sparring.  Last week, Margarito trained for eight round of sparring every other day and on the last day, Margarito ask for another extra round and went or nine rounds of sparring sessions.  Antonio trains from Monday to Saturday and takes the day off on Sunday.  Garcia said that Margarito has what it takes to beat Manny Pacquiao.  “Tony [Margarito] has very high respect for Pacquiao, but we are not intimidated by him. We know he is fast and he has power, and we are preparing for whatever he brings to the table,” said Garcia.

Robert Garcia is preparing his game plan to stop Manny Pacquiao.  They are aware that Manny is quick and explosive and they aim to keep the champion under constant pressure.  Margarito will get hit, but he can hit back as well. I know Freddie Roach is devising strategies for Pacquiao, but we have our own strategy. We’ll see. The better man wins” said Garcia.  “That’s why boxing is so exciting because it is full of surprises, and I think we are ready to shock the world on fight night,” Garcia added.
